A delightful, whimsical collection of Fairy houses
Less of a cottage more of an amazing Fairytale house.
With three gabled roofs, stone chimney ,five windows and a solid oak front door this ‘Enchanted Cottage’ stands head and shoulders above the rest. What family of fairies could resist this home and it will look stunning in your garden too.
Built using pebbles and red sandstone cornerstones, the ‘Foxglove’ faces three directions. Two windows on one end have stone lintels and have imitation leaded glass for extra effect. The roof has scalloped edge lead along the ridge.
On the other side of the house there is a tall, stone built chimney and two other square windows, one larger, one smaller.
There is also to a window to the front of the house, also with imitation leaded glass. There is also a hole in the base at rear to insert lighting cables just in case your Fairies prefer it.
‘an enchanting addition to any garden, anywhere.’
‘Penty’ from the Welsh language meaning ‘cottage’. This is certainly one little magical Enchanted Cottage. Brass hinges and a tiny brass doorknob adorn the solid oak front door. The three hand glazed windows are also made from oak and the roof tiles of Welsh Slate, topped with hand moulded copper trim and a stone chimney to complete the picture. The ‘Enchanted Penty’ adds a little bit of Celtic magic to the surroundings.Fairies love places that are atmospheric and this is one such dwelling place.
You could keep this adorable little Penty inside of course, but it looks its best, outside amongst the flowers or under a tree just waiting for someone to come and take up residence.
Carefully and painstakingly built using pebbles and stone it has a delightful front door made from solid oak, complete with tiny brass knob handle and brass hinges. The oak windows are fully glazed. The sloping roof is meticulously tiled using hand cut Welsh slate and topped with a lovely copper trim. There is a quirky, hand painted, working chimney set at a jaunty angle on the side slope.
Until a Fairy actually moves in, you can give the appearance of little Fairy folk being in residence, by useing a lighted incense cone inside the cottage and the smoke will come out through the chimney. You can also fit in solar powered lighting to light up the windows to great effect.

The building materials used also include natural materials of slate and oak. Exquisite detail, from the tiny glazed, wooden windows to the solid oak door, complete with brass hinges and brass door knob, and the hand cut slate steps leading up to it, show the craftsmanship involved in making this structure. The hand cut roof tiles are all precision cut Welsh slate to provide a waterproof roof . The Little Turret is finished off on top with a copper cone that can be left to turn vert de gris, or can be cleaned, so as to shine and glint in the sunlight.
